We are excited about what God has in store for our church during Faith Life Conference! We know Marty Blackwelder and Joe Morris will bring a timely and powerful word. We believe that one word from God can cause a reaction in the heart that will shift the course of your life. Join us November 3-6!
On, Oct 31st is our Fall Family Festival! Every year we see Kids and their Families come through the doors of our church to play some awesome festival games, collect endless mounds of sugar and of course to win some cool prizes! This is a great opportunity for us as a church to plant seeds into the people in our community. There are 2 things that we need to make sure this event is a huge success. 1st, we need tons of candy, and 2. We need volunteers. To sign up as a volunteer please head to guest services or to www.myfc.info and you can drop off all candy out into the bins we have placed in the foyer.
The riverside football season is right around the corner and for the 2nd year we will be hosting OVERTIME!! This is a huge afterparty for the students at Riverside High School where we provide food, games, music and prizes. Last year we saw around 150 - 170 students come down the hill to participate in this afterparty. This is a huge opportunity that we have as a church to reach out to the city of Oakland, and we want to extend an invitation for you to come and help be apart in giving back to our community. We will be partnering with, Impact hill, Carson methodist, Oakland methodist, and Oakland Christian church to provide a fun and safe environment for the students of riverside high school.
This event is Friday, Nov. 1st - Saturday, Nov. 2nd in Winterset, Iowa. We will be leaving Fellowship Church in Oakland at 4:45, which means all students should be here by 4:30. Make sure that all students have sleeping bags and hygiene products since it is an overnighter. Guys will sleep downstairs, and girls will sleep upstairs. They will also have a canteen that will be open during free time so kids can bring spending money. The cost is $15.00 per person. The Guest Minister is Pastor Glenn Tomren. Dinner, breakfast, and lunch will be provided. We will be arriving back on Saturday around 2:30.
The pies will be available for pick up that following on October 30th at our Oakland campus. Please indicate on the order form when you intend to pick up your orders. If you are unable to pick up your orders on this dates, please arrange an alternate time with me.

CURRENT SERIES, “KINGDOM CULTURE!”
The Church was never meant to end in a room, but to change the world. You have been given unique and important areas of influence where you are called to generate momentum and bring the culture of God’s kingdom to earth. Whether your influence is global or relational, a school or workplace, a home or community, come be equipped during our Kingdom Culture series the next 2 months. Together we will explore how core values and culture bring lasting change.

You might expect us to say something like “it’s better to give than to receive.” But if we truly look at it as God would have us, it’s better to give what we receive. Through God, we receive many things – our talents, finances, opportunities, possessions – and in return, He asks that we give back only a portion. It is through this commitment that we enable more hearts to be reached, more lives to be changed, more souls to be stirred, more families to be brought together and more hope to be shared. With Him, there is as much receiving as there is giving. And we are thankful for the resources with which we are entrusted through his faithful provision to each of you.
“God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” II Corinthians 9:8
